Alerting Solutions
Campuses

What is a good emergency notification system? One that reaches everyone it is supposed to, does so quickly, and is easy for the operator to use. A good notification becomes a great one when it combines all the warning tools a campus presently uses and allows for easy changes in the future.

In the past three years, responding to federal and state requirements, college campuses have installed a variety of warning systems, often built around or on top of systems there were already in place. It makes sense because a good alerting system uses multiple delivery methods to make certain the emergency message is delivered.

At present, most warning delivery methods are separate, distinct, and independent technologies. Only a few are interconnected and each delivery method has its own independent activation process. When there is a need to issue an alert and warning message, it takes an advanced-level user at least a few minutes to completely activate all the required delivery methods. A novice-level user would take significantly longer.

Alerting Solutions, Inc. creates integrated warning systems using the warning tools you already have in place. The ultimate goal of our CAP ALERT system is to help your dispatchers or other system operators to activate all your warning tools in the shortest time possible, with minimal previous training or instruction.

We've designed CAP ALERT for emergencies that occur without warming and present an immediate threat to the lives of people on or near your campus.

Such an incident may occur at any hour of the day, on any day of the year. It will require your students, staff, and others on campus to take action to ensure their safety.

At the same time, your communications center will be inundated with incoming phone calls. Radio traffic may be overwhelming. The user must be able to activate the warning system quickly and easily, and with little training.

CAP ALERT is a professional and reliable solution that is already integrated with many warning providers and numerous products. These include call boxes (emergency phones), digital displays, E-mails, SMS, loudspeakers/sirens, pop-up messages, radio, social media, weather radios, and web sites. The system can be used for routine campus bulletins in addition to its emergency warning function.

We also work with NOAA Weather Radio, the Emergency Alert System, and other tools you may have now or wish to acquire in the future,

Because we have already developed all the software necessary for most projects, our integrated systems are quite affordable. We can also add any additional warning tools you desire.

Alert and Notification

Technology is constantly evolving. Campuses and industrial plants currently uses several individual resources to advise their communities about emergencies. These resources are constantly changing as technology evolves on a day-to-day basis. Upgrading these resources and adding new ones is an ongoing challenge to the management. Having one tool for activation is a basic need that the various providers neglect to pay attention to. An effective and reliable notification system utilizes many redundant systems, integrated with several resources.

Alerting Solutions contributes to the various campuses and industrial plants by being a sole source for a comprehensive, multi-layered system, that integrates new tools with existing, legacy systems, and reliably provides mass notification and communications during crisis.
