NextGeneration EAS is happening Now

(ASI) Emergency Alert System equipment will be updated when final FCC rules are in place. ASI EAS equipment may be purchased today without fear of obsolescence. Model 3310 CAP-to-EAS Converter
The Model 3310 is designed to receive CAP messages from various sources, filter them, and activate EAS when appropriate. The audio output of the unit plugs into the customer’s existing encoder/decoder (ENDEC), any brand.
Text messages are automatically converted into speech for broadcast. Audio files attached to CAP messages may be broadcast as well. The 3310 also provides a text “rip-and-read” version of the messages it receives.
All ASI EAS devices are based on an Intel-based PC “black box” designed for shelf or rack mounting and runs the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. It may be remotely controlled and managed.
Model 3320 CAP-to-EAS Encoder
The Model 3320 is a special purpose encoder-only product, intended for use where the existing EAS encoder/decoder has no available monitoring ports. It can be connected directly to program audio and will automatically transmit CAP messages it receives, subject to user-specified criteria. The 3320 also supports multiple optional relay closures, capable of controlling external devices.
Model 3360 EAS-to-CAP Receiver/Converter
This special-purpose product is connected to an existing EAS encoder/decoder and “listens” for incoming activations. Upon receipt of an EAS activation, the Model 3340 can generate a CAP message, email message, or other notification and send a copy of the received activation to the selected recipient(s).
This unit can be used to verify that an EAS activation has been successfully transmitted by broadcasters, cable systems or other channels. It can also be used to relay EAS activations into a CAP-based distribution network, or to monitor for activations created outside established channels. The basic unit supports two audio inputs, from receivers or any other source. Custom configurations are available.
Model 3340 Cable Television System Interface
The Model 3340 serves as an interface between a CAP message source and a cable television system for receipt and transmission of emergency and non-emergency text and audio messages. Text-to-speech conversion is included.
